The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provides the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) $2 billion to be distributed to federal, state, and local agencies to incentivize
or reimburse additional costs of procuring low carbon construction materials. Another $2.15 billion is available to the General Services Administration (GSA)
for a similar program.
Attendees should expect to:
- Understand how policies developed under IRA to secure low-carbon construction materials will affect the asphalt paving industry.
- Learn how asphalt plants can shape the future definitions of 'low carbon' through participation in this benchmarking initiative.
- Learn how to use a free version of NAPA’s Emerald Eco-Label tool to participate in this nationwide initiative.
