Conducts and implements research and educational programs to improve knowledge, understanding, and skills in technical and management areas related to asphalt pavement design and construction. Principal activities of the 501(c)(3) Foundation are the financial support of the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) through a gift endowment to the Auburn University Foundation, manage and direct all aspects of the Foundation’s Scholarship Program, and actively solicit and accept proposals from industry stakeholders for fundraising to directly support specific innovative research and education programs on behalf of the asphalt industry. Also sponsors the Ronald D. Kenyon Award for education and research and oversees the NAPA Care Benevolent Fund.
